1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work and to remember settings between visits. Some cookies are deleted as soon as you close the browser; others are stored for a defined period and deleted automatically when that period ends.

2. Park4Travels' approach

We use the minimum number of cookies needed to make the site work. We do not run advertising cookies, behavioural tracking cookies, social-media share cookies, or any third-party analytics that identify individual users. Every cookie listed below is either strictly necessary for the site to function or essential to a service you have actively asked for (such as logging into the admin console or completing a payment).

3. Cookies we set

NamePurposeDurationType
p4t_sessionKeeps your booking session alive while you move between pages (search results to listing to checkout).Session (deleted when you close the browser)Strictly necessary
p4t_adminAdmin staff only. Keeps logged-in admin staff signed in to the admin console. Set only when an admin logs in at /admin/login.7 days, or until sign-outStrictly necessary (admin)
p4t_cookie_consentRecords that you have accepted our cookie notice so we do not show it to you on every page.12 monthsStrictly necessary

4. Optional advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

If you opt in to Advertising in our cookie preferences, we load Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-2957583519315896). AdSense allows Google to show ads relevant to you on this site and to measure how those ads perform. AdSense will set its own cookies on your browser, the main ones are:

NamePurposeDuration
__gadsGoogle AdSense, measures ad impressions and unique users.13 months
__gpiGoogle Publisher Identifier, used for personalised advertising.13 months

If you do not opt in, the AdSense script is not loaded and neither cookie is set. You can revoke consent at any time from the Cookie preferences link in the footer; revoking stops further loading on subsequent page views, but cookies already set by Google must be cleared from your browser cookie settings.

5. Cookies set by Stripe (payment)

When you reach the checkout step, payment is handled by Stripe (our payment service provider). Stripe sets its own cookies on your browser for fraud prevention and to maintain the payment session. These are necessary for payment to work. The main ones are:

NamePurposeDuration
__stripe_midStripe fraud prevention — uniquely identifies the device for risk scoring.1 year
__stripe_sidStripe fraud prevention — session identifier during checkout.30 minutes

Park4Travels does not have access to the contents of these cookies. The full Stripe cookie inventory is at stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal. If you block these cookies, Stripe checkout will not load and you will not be able to complete a booking.

6. What we do NOT set

  • No Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Meta (Facebook) Pixel.
  • No re-marketing or behavioural-retargeting cookies beyond standard AdSense personalisation (and only if you opt in to Advertising).
  • No social-media share-tracker cookies (no Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Pinterest tracking).
  • No A/B testing or session-replay cookies (we do not record your sessions).
  • No third-party fingerprinting beyond Stripe's strictly-necessary fraud prevention.

7. How to control cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Common options:

  • Block all cookies — the site will not work; you will not be able to search for parking or pay for a booking.
  • Block third-party cookies only — most browsing will work but Stripe payment will not.
  • Delete cookies on close — your session ends when you close the browser, but next visit works as normal.
  • Block specific cookies — most browsers let you block individual cookies by domain.

How to manage cookies in major browsers:

8. If you change your mind about cookies

Open Cookie preferences in the footer at any time. From there you can switch the Advertising or Analytics toggles on or off and save your choice. Switching Advertising off stops AdSense from loading on the next page view. Cookies already placed by Google on prior visits must be cleared from your browser's cookie settings if you want to remove them retroactively.

9. Updates to this policy

We will update this policy if our cookie use changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. If we add Google Analytics in future, this policy will be updated to disclose the cookies and your consent toggle will gate the loading in the same way as Advertising does today.
