- A driver meets you at the Drop & Go car park next to Departures, takes your car and parks it. On return they bring it back to the same spot.
- No shuttle and no walking with bags, which is why it is the quickest option at Bristol.
- The catch is the airport's own fee. The Drop & Go charge rose to £8.50 for 10 minutes in January 2026, and a Meet and Greet car usually crosses that barrier on the way in and again on the way out.
- Before you book, check whether that £8.50 each way is included in the price or paid by you. Honest operators tell you up front.

Compare Bristol parking →Meet and Greet is the fastest way to park at Bristol Airport: you hand your keys to a driver at the door and walk straight to check-in. It is also the option where the airport's own charges are easiest to miss. Here is exactly how it works at Bristol, where the £8.50 fee comes in, and how to make sure you are not paying it twice without realising.
What Meet and Greet at Bristol actually is
You drive to Bristol Airport on the A38 and follow the signs to the Drop & Go car park next to Departures (postcode BS48 3DY). A driver from your chosen operator meets you there, takes the keys and parks the car at a secure site nearby. When you land, you call the operator, head back to the same Drop & Go area, and the driver returns your car. No shuttle bus and no luggage trek, which is why it suits early flights, big family loads and anyone short on time.
The Drop & Go fee is the catch
Bristol Airport charges to use the Drop & Go car park, and it went up again at the start of 2026. The current tariff is:
- £8.50 for up to 10 minutes (up from £7 in January 2026).
- £10.50 for 11 to 20 minutes.
- Rising to around £30 for 40 minutes, with a strict 2 hour maximum.
Here is the part that trips people up. With Meet and Greet, the operator's driver brings your car out of the Drop & Go when they take it away, and you drive it out again when you collect it on return. That is two exits, so the £8.50 can apply twice across the trip, up to £17 in total. Some operators build one leg into the price, some build in neither. The fee itself is set by the airport, not the parking company, and it is never included in the headline price unless an operator says so.
This is the single most important thing to check, and it is the reason we show any airport fee separately on every Bristol listing rather than burying it. For the full tariff and the genuinely free alternatives, see our guide to Bristol Airport drop-off charges in 2026.
Just dropping someone off? Use the free Waiting Zone instead
If you are not parking for a trip and only need to drop a passenger, you do not need Meet and Greet at all. Bristol has a free Waiting Zone at the Car Rental Centre where you can wait up to an hour at no cost, with a courtesy bus to the terminal every 15 minutes. Meet and Greet is for when you are the one flying and need your own car parked for the duration.
Is Meet and Greet worth it at Bristol?
It depends on what you value. Meet and Greet is the quickest and most comfortable, but once you add the airport fee it is rarely the cheapest. If price matters more than minutes, off-airport Park and Ride or the Silver Zone can come in a good deal lower, with a short shuttle instead of a doorstep handover. Our rundown of the cheapest Bristol parking in 2026 puts the numbers side by side so you can decide.
What to check before you book Meet and Greet
- Is the £8.50 airport fee included, one way, both ways or neither? Get it in writing.
- Where is the car actually kept, and is it a secure, fenced site (look for the Park Mark badge)?
- Is the operator insured to drive and move your vehicle?
- What is the return process and the phone number, so there is no scramble when you land?
