London Stansted Airport returned 20 car parks on our last live check, and on the same eight night stay the dearest costs 3.6 times the cheapest. Every figure below comes from our own price checks on 29 August 2026, booked about a month ahead unless stated.
How much does it cost to park at London Stansted Airport?
From about £8.94 a night, or £71.48 for a typical eight night trip, in the cheapest car park we found (park and ride). The airport's own on-airport parking was £101.97, about £12.75 a night. The most expensive option was £257.98. Short trips cost much more per night and long trips much less: three nights worked out at £20.49 a night, while fifteen nights dropped to £7.77.

- Stansted Peak Park and Ride, £71.48 (£8.94 a night), Park Mark accredited
- My CSL Stansted Park & Ride, £73.97 (£9.25 a night)

Park and ride means an off-airport compound with a shuttle to the terminal. At London Stansted it saved £30.49 against the airport's own car park on an eight night stay.
Why is there such a big price range at Stansted?
Because Stansted sells at both extremes. The cheapest park and ride was £71.48 for eight nights and the Short Stay Premium Red Zone was £257.98 for the same stay, a 3.6 times spread and the widest of any airport we price. Both are legitimate products. Driving in and taking whatever is nearest the terminal is how people end up at the top of that range.
How much is London Stansted Airport's official car park?
Jetparks came out at £101.97 for eight nights, which is £12.75 a night. You are parking on airport land with a short transfer, and at London Stansted that costs about £30.49 more than the cheapest option.
Why does London Stansted parking cost more per night for a short trip?
Because car parks price the space rather than the night. There is a fixed cost to taking a bay out of circulation at all, so the first few days carry most of it and every extra day is cheaper.
At London Stansted the cheapest car park worked out at £20.49 a night for three nights, £8.94 for eight and £7.77 for fifteen. That is the same car park in the same week of checking. It is why a nightly rate quoted without a length of stay attached to it tells you very little.
Does booking early make London Stansted Airport parking cheaper?
Not on price. We priced the same eight night stay seven days out and thirty days out and Stansted Peak Park and Ride charged exactly £71.48 on both dates. Many operators run a fixed rate card, so the price is the price whenever you book.
This matches what we see nationally. In our UK Airport Parking Price Index, booking a month ahead is meaningfully cheaper at only six of the sixteen airports we track, roughly flat at six and actually more expensive at four. What does run out close to the date is spaces rather than value, so book as soon as you can either way, and book a price you are happy with rather than waiting for one that may never come.
Is meet and greet worth it at London Stansted Airport?
Meet and greet means a driver takes the car from you at the terminal and it is waiting when you land. At London Stansted the cheapest was £103.97 for eight nights against £71.48 for the cheapest option overall, so you are paying about £32.49 to skip the shuttle in both directions.
With a car seat, two suitcases and a 6am flight, that is money most parents would spend twice. Travelling alone with hand luggage, the shuttle takes a few minutes and the money is better spent at the other end.
What is the difference between park and ride, on-airport and meet and greet?
Park and ride is an off-airport car park a few minutes away with a shuttle bus to the terminal. At London Stansted the cheapest was £71.48 for eight nights.
On-airport means parking inside the airport, with a shorter walk or transfer. At London Stansted the cheapest on-airport option was £101.97.
Meet and greet means handing the keys over at the terminal. At London Stansted that was £103.97.
