Across every car park we compare, the typical 8-day price is £81.94 for park and ride, £114.44 for the airports' own car parks and £114.44 for meet and greet. Park and ride is usually the cheap end, but not everywhere: at some airports meet and greet is the cheapest way to park, which is why it pays to compare every type rather than assume.

Is airport parking cheaper if you book early?

Booking a fortnight ahead, the advice most of the industry gives, saved a median of £9.49 against booking two days ahead in our latest check (18 October 2026).   1. Compare the total for your dates. A daily rate only means something next to the length of stay.
  2. Choose the car park before you worry about timing. At most airports the gap between car parks on the same dates is bigger than anything you save by booking earlier.
  3. Add anything paid on the day. Some airports charge meet and greet customers at the drop-off zone, and some car parks add an access fee. Our listings show these before you book.
  4. Count both ends of a drop-off. Being dropped off and collected means paying the drop-off charge twice, and a long wait can cost more than parking.
